- Fingerprinting techniques as cookie alternatives
Consent
Under the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, "strictly necessary" cookies
required for a service the user explicitly requested do not require
consent. The _sm_session cookie qualifies — you only receive it after
signing in, which is an explicit action.
You can configure your browser to reject all cookies, but you would not be able to use the Service in that case.
Public Status Pages
The public per-organisation status pages (e.g., acme.example.com)
do not set any cookies. They are fully anonymous.
